I want to highlight special, natural products (with great flavor) that I tasted (at the recent Natural Products Expo West.
Mint is rich with medicinal properties and a brilliant companion for dark chocolate. The Seely Family has been growing and distilling mint for three generations on their farm in Washington. Now they use their own natural oils in confections, including the peppermint patties I gobbled up.
Another favorite was Maple Greek Yogurt from Green Mountain Creamery in Vermont, using local milk and locally tapped syrup and little else. Both of these deliciously live up to the promise of the Expo’s “Natural Products” name.
